So I actually made a tweet that got somewhat popular. I’m clever sometimes. ;)
I don’t think most of you (unless you’re also canadian politics nerds) will get the reference.
Basically Stephen Harper prorogued (basically to postpone the return of parliament) parliament. Stephen Harper has prorogued parliament 3 times now, and often it has been to escape public pressure or bad press.
My comment is made in reference to the fact that Parliament is prorogued right now and Harper is or was at the time in Vancouver promoting new legislation, and has been in BC recently in a push to promote the party and some PR for the oil industry’s pipelines in BC. At the time of the closing of parliament for the summer, the prime minsters office was caught in multiple scandals (Corrupt Senators and some secret money lending)
